MURDER of John Paul FERNANDEZ

Description

At 3:41am, on 3rd May 2013, Police visited Palm Island Bar, located at mile 2 Phillip Goldson Highway, where they saw the motionless body of John Paul FERNANDEZ, 32 year old Belizean Laborer, lying face up in pool of blood inside the compound. He had an apparent gunshot wound to the right side of the head. Initial investigations revealed the FERNANDEZ was seen socializing along with Eduardo TORRES, 40 year old Belizean Security Officer, when a single gunshot was heard after which Fernandez was seen lying motionless on the ground. He was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police recovered (1) 9mm expended shell from the scene and have also recovered (1) 9mm Glock pistol with one magazine containing (15) 9mm live rounds from the residence of Eduardo TORRES. Eduardo TORRES has since been detained pending investigations.
