ROBBERY / UNLICENSED FIREARM / AMMUNITION

Description

On 15th June 2013 at 2:15pm, a Customer Service Officer of Insurance Cooperation of Belize, Orange Walk Branch, reported that on 15th June 2013 at 9:00am, she was at work in her office when a male person of Spanish descent approached her at gun point. He demanded money, jewelry and her BlackBerry cellphone. He also stole, from the business, $1,760.03bcy in cash. Police immediately visited the area where they saw a Hispanic male person running through the back door of the building. Police then set chase after him as he ran towards an unnamed street, at which time, they saw him putting a silver object by a fence. He was later apprehended and taken back to the area where he hid the object. Police found (1) .22 revolver and (7) .22 live rounds. The male person was later identified as Stanley TILLETT, 26 year old Belizean Laborer of Belize Corozal Road, Orange Walk Town. He has since been detained pending charges.
