SHOOTING INCIDENT

Description

On Thursday, 23rd May 2013 at 2:09am, information was received of a house being shot at, in Unitedville Village, and that a person was shot. Police immediately responded and saw a male person who was later identified as Oswald YOUNG with a gunshot wound to the chin. Also, three gunshot holes were observed on a mahogany door on the house. Oswald reported that he was in the living room sleeping in a sofa chair, facing the door, when he heard a shot and felt something burning him. That was when he realized that he had been shot. Oswald YOUNG was treated and released from the hospital; his injuries were certified as wounding. Police have detained two Belize City men, pending investigation.
